The first question is, should I? Because many limo companies price reasonably. If this is the case, then there is no room for negotiation because prices aren’t artificially raised.

But if this isn’t the case, then here are a few things to consider:

1. The type of service. If it’s a simple airport transfer or a pickup and dropoff, then consider the alternatives. Call other companies in the area and ask what they charge. If the current quote is more than 30% higher, before asking for a discount, consider the service being provided. Are you being offered full service, where the Chauffeur will open and close your door? Will the Chauffeur be in full professional attire such as a suit with jacket and tie. And if you haven’t already done so, make sure the vehicle is the same or similar. For example, a 2020 Escalade will likely be priced higher than a 2020 Suburban. Not only because the Escalade is more pricey, but because it takes premium gas only.

2. The timeframe of the service. The more hours you will charter the vehicle, the more potential room for negotiation. A 6-hour charter has more room for potential negotiation than a 4-hour.

3. The date of service. Holidays and special events in the area such as the Superbowl, will cause rates to be higher. That is typical in the industry, and there will be less or even no room for negotiation during these peak times.

4. Your relationship with the Company. If you are a long-time or frequent customer, you are (or should be) considered special. You have showed loyalty and have invested in the company to an extent. Of course, you have gotten what you paid for, but appreciation for your business is probably earned.
